Epilogue

Sits took place at a new venue, Catton Hall. The event seemed a little subdued compared to previous races, maybe because the start/village was along way and across a road from the campsite, or maybe because we were camped at the farthest point from anywhere. The parcours was very much like the original Red Bull at Birmingham;fast and bumpy, though maybe a little short at 10.8 km's. We managed 39 laps! at the last look before the last two laps we were four minutes behind 10th place.

The other pit babes were sorely missed, as was the gazebo for every one to congregate under.

And Gareth did very well as a new member of the skid marks/sundayriders conglomerate.

So who's signed up for next year then? How soon will the dates be out, so that I can arrange my holidays around it?

That's almost eight laps each!! That means taking the same amount of clothes as for a TransAlp!

Garth - you did me proud and it all felt so much easier from my sun-drenched, palm-fringed vantage point:-)
