thetford rnd 4

Jane was lying second overall after the last three rounds, so she just had to turn up today to take third overall.

It had been raining up until the day of the race, but it was a lovely clear day. The course was shockingly wet in places, but began to dry out after a few laps of hundreds of wheelspassing over it. Just as it was getting dry and fast, there was a huge hailstorm that lasted a good 15 minutes! Suddenly, the course was covered in rapidly melting balls of ice. And in a trice was as wet and muddy as the start!

Jane rolled in fifth, which was enough to give 2nd overall.

I seem to be hero or zero with my riding at the moment! I'm sure the hail lasted for a whole lap - not just 15 mins, the course was fabulous and would have been Thetford at it's very best had it been a tad drier:)

Good girl. Is the mud as slippery as that horrible stuff in Ibiza?
